August trailwork day! (Saturday the 14th)

Yep, its that time again! 2nd Saturday of the month, and it's time to help give back to the trails!  We've got a great mix of work we can do this weekend, so hopefully we will get a good turnout again.

So, the destination is Blackwater Falls State Park! We need to put hand rails on the new Dobbin House bridge and maybe set it in it's permanent resting spot. Also, we need to finish up rocking in the small mud pit stretch of Yellow Birch after the bridge.

Show up Saturday morning @ Blackwater Bikes at 9am. NOTE: if you cannot get there at 9, or simply don't want to get there at 9, you may show up ANY time and Roger will tell you how you can meet up with us on the trail to lend a hand, but please don't just skip it because you can't get there at 9 :)

See you all there,
Todd

P.S.  -  Another new item on the punch-list is getting a few big chainsaws down the north side of Railroad Grade trail! It's officially un-maintained by the forest service so it is has been up to us. It is a fantastic and wonderful trail to ride, hike and ski and once the trees are cleared you will get to experience it. It is also important because it puts another access point to Plantation trail off the Blackwater side of Loop Rd that is not as technical and nasty to ride as Lindy or Davis trail. Keep this in mind if you have a chainsaw of your own and spare time whenever also.
