About TCT
Tucker County Trails, Inc. (TCT) is a non-profit volunteer organization that has grown from the early efforts of a group of AmeriCorps volunteers. TCT is a grassroots organization with an emphasis on service, access, and promotion of trails for the health and well being of Tucker County, WV. TCT membership is open and anyone interested is encourage to attend the monthly meeting which is held on the second Tuesday of each month at 7:00PM in Davis, WV (usually at the Bright Morning Inn). Tucker County, WV has more than 200 miles of hiking, biking, skiing, and equestrian trails. These trails are mostly on public lands. 153 miles are on the Monongahela National Forest. Two West Virginia State Parks, Blackwater and Canaan, contain a significant number of trails as do both the Canaan Valley National Wildlife Refuge and Canaan Valley Institute. These trails are an asset to the county and to the residents who consider them to be part of a larger "backyard." TCT is committed to ensuring access to these trails and working with land managers to maintain and improve upon this terrific resource.
